IU Alumni Awards
IU Award for outstanding graduates and community leaders is given from 2021. This honorable recognition is awarded for special achievements in professional and other socially important areas, as well as for contribution to fostering relationships between Innopolis University and its graduates.
Candidates for IU Awards are proposed by alumni themselves.Final voting is conducted among all graduates, professorship team, IU administration and current students. Moreover, previous winners' candidacy is not considered.

Engineer of the Future in Education and Medicine
Bulat Maksudov

Innopolis University
Bulat is an emerging engineer at the intersection of education and medicine. He is one of the organizers of the 1519 scholarship and mentorship program, which has already supported 47 students and continues to expand its impact. While at the AI Institute of Innopolis University, Bulat contributed to the development of an X-ray analysis service that has been implemented in more than 178 hospitals across Moscow, the Moscow region, and Tatarstan, helping to improve diagnostic efficiency and healthcare accessibility. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at Dublin City University, where he specializes in medical image analysis. Bulat is also the author and co-author of 12 scientific publications and holds an h-index of 5, reflecting the growing recognition of his contributions to the field.

Aleksei Korshuk

Innopolis University
Aleksei is an AI research engineer and a founding engineer at the startup Coframe, based in Silicon Valley, USA. The company has raised $9 million in funding from Khosla Ventures and Nat Friedman. He is a co-author of publications presented at ICLR and received an Honorable Mention from Google DeepMind at NeurIPS 2024. Aleksei collaborates with researchers from DeepMind, CAIF, MIT, and Berkeley on a project for NeurIPS 2025. He is also the winner of the AGI House hackathon organized by Adam D’Angelo.

Ilnur is the founder of Media Pilot, a service for automating social media management for small businesses, as well as the digital studio Tovarischi-digital. He launched Tovarischi-digital and has successfully delivered over 20 projects. Ilnur is the winner of a hackathon in Qatar, where he worked on launching a product in the MENA market. He also teaches the CEO Toolkit course at Innopolis University.

Vlad Kurenkov

Vlad is the winner of the "AI Scientist" category as a research supervisor at AIRI, and he played a pivotal role in the launch of Tinkoff Research, focusing on Reinforcement Learning. Over the past three years, Vlad has authored seven publications for NeurIPS/ICML and earned the Yandex ML Prize (formerly the Segalovich Prize) as a young supervisor. Moreover, Vlad is one of the organizers of the 1519 Scholarship & Mentoring program for students at Innopolis University.

Vlad Vinogradov, co-founder and CTO of Optic, has been included in Forbes' "30 Under 30" long list in the Science and Technology category. Optic, a joint startup focused on detecting NFT forgeries, was founded by Vlad, a graduate of an IT university, along with former Google Product Director Andrey Doronichev and EORA founder Roman Doronin. The company has attracted $11 million in funding from a Google investor. Vlad also co-founded EORA, a startup studio that develops machine learning-based computer vision solutions and oversees the development of various open-source projects.
